Day 27 Camon to Le Gorges du Tarn

Day 27 Camon to Le Rozier (in the Gorges De Tarn).

The day was warm and sunny and was clearly to become quite hot.  Today we reluctantly left the L'Abbey de Camon and headed for our next stop.  We travelled through Carcassonne, and finally got a look at the medieval walled city, although we didn’t have time to visit.

Our travels tooks us via a number of C and D roads with a lot of spectacular valleys.  We went via Mazamet, Castres, Brassac - which had a nice coffee stop, Belmot sur Rance, St Affrique then to St Georges de Luzencon and the valley under the Millau bridge.

What a spectacular sight with the highest  point being 1 kilometer above the valley floor.  We stopped at the observation station and caused a bit of a stir when we tried to line up the Alvis's for a photo opportunity, we started to gather a crowd with more taking pictures of the cars rather than the bridge - security turned up so we though we better move on.

We then continued to the Gorges du Tarn and our stop for the next three nights at Le Rozier. Dinner that night at the motel was quite poor especially as it is a 4 star hotel and the wine was worse.  The wine was very over priced and vinegar would have tasted better!!  We have to find somewhere else to eat for the next 2 nights.
